Little Reminders

Do you ever start doing something then realize how much you NEEDED it? I decided to take Carson on a quick walk around the block. Once I started walking, I went right out of our neighborhood instead and ended up on the Swamp Rabbit Trail for a bit. Wow - I didn’t realize how wound tight I was that morning. I took deep breaths of the crisp air, admired the changing leaves, and soaked in the quiet around me while staring at my sleeping baby. 

I came home feeling lighter. Suddenly everything that needed to be done around the house could wait without making me anxious and I was able to sit and hold Carson without feeling guilt. 

This was such a small thing that made a big impact. It was the reminder I needed to get outside and move my body. It doesn’t have to be a chore which in turn makes me want to hurry up and be done. It can be something calming and make you appreciate the little moments in life.

Listen to your body and mind, Sis. It knows more than you think you do and it can give you these little reminders you didn't realize you needed!
